BAPCO and BHF charity partnership announced

Partnership will promote awareness of the charity across the UK public safety communications technology community

British APCO and The British Heart Foundation have announced the launch of a two-year charity partnership.

According to a statement, the association has pledged – as partner to BHF - to promote awareness of the charity across the UK public safety communications technology community. It will also help to raise money in support of a variety of BHF campaigns and events, inspiring its members “to create their own fund-raising opportunities for this fantastic cause.”

Speaking of the partnership, BHF corporate communications lead, Chris Stokes, said: “[We are] delighted to partner with BAPCO, an organisation and members [possessing] such unique synergy with our work.

“The partnership will help us continue to fund research to save and improve the lives of the 7.6 million people living with heart and circulatory diseases in the UK. We look forward to a fruitful partnership, with many additional benefits and teamwork to further our joint aspirations.”

BAPCO president John Anthony said: “Our partnership with the British Heart Foundation holds a special significance for us as an organisation, following the tragic death of CEO Ian Thompson last year. Ian’s loss was incredibly hard for everyone, and we want to do all we can to raise awareness of heart and circulatory disease.

“The BHF is a fantastic organisation, and we couldn’t be prouder to be involved with them over the next two years. Standing together, we can help beat heartbreak.”
