CCW 2022 speaker interview: Hannu Aronsson

What will you be speaking about at CCW 2022? Why is that an important topic?

I will be speaking about how to improve operations with data and apps, starting with today's mission critical communications networks and moving towards the future networks.

What are the key messages that you would like people to take away after attending your conference session?

Apps work with all networks and devices, take the best advantage of every network you have around.

What do you see as being the big issues and challenges for the sector over the next five years?

Organizational change may be slower than technological change, so it helps to get started with data and apps now, to get benefits today and be able to get benefits more quickly from new technologies when they become available.

What will be the most transformative development in terms of the technology? What will that development mean for user operations, as well as the broader market?

Technology allows using voice and data on the same network, both today and in the future. Users are moving from voice-centric operations to data-centric operations. The first movers have already seen great benefits which will help drive this transformation even further.

What should be the number one priority for the sector going into the future?

To gain a holistic view of how to use technology in more ways to help reach the users' goals; having a complete solutions focus compared to separate technologies.

What are you most looking forward to at CCW 2022 in Vienna? Are there any conference sessions in particular that have caught your attention?

Face-to-face discussions have a high value especially for innovation and learning. I'm looking forward to face-to-face CCW after two years of COVID restrictions stopping full discussions in the critical comms community.
