New opportunities for Geostationary satcomms
Since the release of Starlink, one Web and other LEO constellations comming on line the geostationary satellite industry has suffered a significant loss of customers. In the UK add the investment by the government in FTTP in rural areas and the customer base decline becomes worse.
This however presents an opportunity to the critical comms community. There are a lot of geostationary satellites that have high bandwidth capabilities with fewer users so less contention.
If the critical comms community approached the suppliers, there may be opportunities to increase resillience using Geostationary satcomms at a better price and service level than ever before.
